The Provident's Chuck Withee Joins New Hampshire's Business Finance Authority


April 12, 2017 – The Provident Bank is pleased to announce that Chuck Withee, President of The Provident, has been approved by the Executive Council to serve on the Business Finance Authority (BFA) for the State of New Hampshire. The BFA collaborates with banks, businesses and economic development agencies to expand the availability of credit to manufacturers, businesses, health providers and educational and cultural organizations.


“This work is critical in helping promote the financial ecosystem of our region,” stated Withee. “I’m honored to have been nominated by Governor Sununu and approved by the Executive Council to serve on the BFA. The Agency does important work to help stimulate our regional economy and its mission goes hand-in-hand with the work underway at The Provident. We are deeply committed to supporting the economic growth of New Hampshire through innovative banking solutions as well as creative underwriting initiatives that help produce workforce and export expansion.”

 

Withee will join Stephen Duprey of Concord, Matthew Benson of Concord, Jeffrey Hayes of Intervale, Daniel Henderson of Hancock, Jeremy Hitchcock of Manchester, and Catherine Provencher of Merrimack who were also just approved to serve on the Business Finance Authority board.


Withee’s name was submitted to the Executive Council for approval by Governor Chris Sununu. The BFA’s next meeting will be Monday, April 17th.
