BankProv Sponsors Cross Roads House 17th Annual Benefit by the Sea Fundraising Event

Dave Mansfield, CEO of BankProv, announced today that BankProv Community Charitable Organization has donated $10,000 to Cross Roads House through its sponsorship of the 17th Annual Benefit by the Sea fundraising event. This event is the organization’s leading fundraiser in an effort to support its mission of providing emergency and transitional shelter to homeless men, women and children in the New Hampshire Seacoast area.

“BankProv has been a long-term supporter of Cross Roads House because we believe in its mission to meet the needs of homeless families and individuals, and to provide them with the tools and guidance they need to successfully return to permanent housing,” explains Dave Mansfield. “This organization houses approximately 100 people on any given night. This paints a clear picture of just how important their services are to our community. We are honored to contribute to their cause.”

Cross Roads House opened its doors in 1982 to assist homeless individuals and families, and have since become one of the largest emergency shelters in New Hampshire, serving eastern New Hampshire and Southern Maine. They protect men, women and children experiencing homelessness from exposure and hunger, and support individuals and families by providing them with the opportunity to move with dignity and purpose to stable and decent housing.

“We are incredibly grateful for BankProv’s ongoing support of Cross Roads House,” comments Martha Stone, Executive Director of Cross Roads House. “The bank’s ongoing generosity is critical to the success of our mission and directly assists individuals, families and children experiencing homelessness in our local community every day.”

In 2018 Cross Roads House provided 38,167 bed nights of shelter to 527 people, including 31 families with 58 children. Its emergency shelter for single adults was over capacity at 84%. These individuals were able to receive safe shelter, nutritious meals, and supportive services through the help of Cross Roads House’s staff, volunteers and supporters.
