The Provident Bank Contributes $30,000 to

The Pettengill House, Inc. Expansion

(Amesbury, MA, April 2, 2019) – Dave Mansfield, CEO of The Provident Bank, announced today that The Provident Community Charitable Organization has donated $30,000 to The Pettengill House, Inc. to assist with the expansion of their Amesbury facility.

“Our partnership with local businesses are integral to the success of our programs and social services,” comments Deb Smith, Executive Director of The Pettengill House, Inc. “We are so very grateful to The Provident Bank for their longstanding support of The Pettengill House, Inc. and their generous contributions to our agency’s expansion. This is an important step in our continuing effort to provide support services for adults, children, and families as the lead social service agency in the area.”

The Pettengill House, Inc. currently has locations in Salisbury and Amesbury, MA. This donation will help the Pettengill House double the size of their Amesbury location, and support the organization’s efforts to enhance programs and services and expand outreach in the nine towns and cities comprising their catchment area. The Pettengill House food pantry will remain at the Salisbury location, and the agency will continue to offer comprehensive case management and support services to all of the communities it has served for the last twenty-five years.

“The Pettengill House, Inc. has been a long standing community member and partner to The Provident Bank,” explains Mansfield. “The assistance they provide to children and families on the North Shore is critical to the wellbeing of our community. By focusing on individual and family stabilization, and assisting with the most basic human needs of food, clothing, shelter and safety, The Pettengill House, Inc. is able to offer assistance to many people who may otherwise not have these basic needs met. We are excited for their expansion and incredibly honored to support such a worthwhile cause.”

The Pettengill House is a nonprofit social service agency for the local community with extensive experience in providing a system of care to support at-risk individuals, children and families through education and therapeutic interventions. Their mission is to support and empower children and families by providing education, comprehensive case management and basic needs; and by coordinating community support that contributes to individual and family stabilization, personal growth and development.
